ceviche and cervezas
Today was a rather long day. When I went in the office this morning my boss was in there which was unusual because I'm usually the first one in. I figured she got there early because she was leaving due to some minor surgery she was having. So anyway a few minutes into me being there I leave out to boil water for my tea and come back and hear her and the admin arguing. The admin was supposed to do orientation today and she basically said fuck you i'm not doing it to my boss. I just knew it was going to be a girlfight between this 70 year old admin and my 60 year old boss. So then I get an email from my boss saying come see me. Damnit. I had to end up staying late to do the presentation but I chalked that shyt up went to the orientation and killed it. So brownie points for me.
So because I stayed late and was tired and needed relief I made some phone calls and I decided to celebrate this pseudo-holiday that has no true significance to me (not that it doesn't to others) by going to this little seedy spot and getting ceviche and cervezas. My girly girl Nina met me there and I haven't seen her since she became a Mrs. and my other girl that is graduating med school in two weeks popped up too. Sooo the company was good.... the ceviche was the bomb, I'm talking shrimp fish scallops calamari all "cooked" in lime juice cilantro onions tomatoes and some seasonings that were just great.... then the cervezas got the party jumping. We had a table of gentleman that kept the drinks rolling they couldn't speak a lick of english but that was quite alright with me. I have never drank so many coronita's in my life.
Then when I get home my mom opened up MY bottle of shiraz so I had to sip some of that. So at this exact moment. I'm feeling lovely and off to prepare for some sleep or something.
