my weekend
I'm going to try and abridge the weekend as much as I can.
Friday
I spent the morning running errands and talking on IM most of the day. Then later in the afternoon I headed to NYC. The ride was really good had no traffic until I got to the GW Bridge. I met up with my linesister and my neo and then we went to the Bronx to pick up my other linesister. After that we all headed to Brooklyn to my other linesister's (future bride) apartment. We hadn't seen each other in a while so it was good to all play catch up and we sat around and laughed and talked and giggled most of the night (I'm sure we annoyed my ls's fiance). We also had some excellent grub thanks to the brides sister who works at Starbucks and brought us over all the pastries that were left in the case and all the sandwiches they had made but didn't sell that day.
Saturday
Had to be the worlds longest day. We were supposed to be up at 7 but woke up at 8 and then we still poked around talking and moving slow showering and so forth. We were supposed to be in Staten Island at 11:30 for the fitting we didn't leave the apartment until 10:30 and still had to pick up the flower girls and the meet the brides mother and other bridesmaids at her moms house. There we met BBB (big booty bitch) the other bridesmaid. We had never met her before, only interacted by email so the bride walks her over to my truck and BBB was like so which is which in a very rude tone. Everyone in the car's tone changed because we realized what we were going to be dealing with.
So we finally get to the bridal shop like 30 minutes late and since they only had sample sizes only two bridesmaids, BBB and my 12 could try on our dress. So BBB goes in first me and 12 were sitting in front so wen she came out we just saw her from a frontal view but I looked and saw my other ls, neo, the brides face and her moms face and I knew something was wrong. BBB turned to the side and I swear she has the biggest ass I have ever seen in life. Seriously she distorted the dress, so my 12 had to go try it on so we could see what it would look like on a normal person (and my 12 is a size 0). We go to do measurements and BBB wants to discuss with us her thoughts and ideas we listened but blocked her out, her approach was wrong and her attitude worst. So while I was getting measured I looked down on the boutique owners sheet and saw BBB's measurements. I damn near passed out lol. So I was like I must be seeing stuff so I asked my neo did she see it and she saw the same thing 34-28-47. No she didn't have wide hips as a matter of fact quite minimal, her ass was basically 47 inches. I used to pray for a big ass but now I realize I need to be specific in my prayer because I would not want anything like that lol... in that dress it looked like a satin shelf.
Anyway luckily for us she had to leave early. So after there we headed to NJ. MOther of the brides boyfriend was nice enough to invite us all to his house to lunch. He ordered us all chinese food and thai food and had champagne chiling on ice for us. We had a great lunch and then left NJ and headed to Long Island to visit the catering hall. It was absolutely gorgeous. There was a wedding going on so we got to peek and se how it would look for her. SInce in the car was the only time we were away from the bride we planned shower stuff driving from LI back to Brooklyn. By this time its like 7 we drop her mom off and then go see the church. After that she takes us back to her apartment where we chilled and hung out and met some of the groomsmen (who are all very short I probably can only get away with a two inch heel). We had an interesting convo on bachelor/bachelorete parties and strippers. I was one of the few who didn't mind the stripper thing (even though I did have a catch which I won't mention here lol). Then I realized it was pushing 9pm and I needed to head home.
So her fiance lead me to the highway and I headed home. Once I hit the turnpike I went to Starbucks got a grande iced caramel macchiato (people that know me know that caffeine and I don't mix) so I had a rush/high that got me from NYC to my house in 3hours and 45 minutes. I was unpacked and in bed at 1am.
This morning I went to church and then headed to the mall to get my things for the Discovery Health Challenge. After that I chilled for a while then went to my sister's for a litle bit. Why was my niece reading this book she bought with her Borders gift card on knowing my body, and she then tells me I've been skipping around I only read three chapters so far (they were on bras, breasts and periods lol). Then my 10 yr old nephew used his card to buy a book called What's Going on Down There Book for Boys. I sooooooo was not ready for that lol.
I was going to party but I think my lack of sleep is catching up with me. Tomorrow I have some service work to do and then will enjoy the rest of the day once I make this key lime cheesecake my nephew requested.
