the weekend is over... already?

Seems like this blog is turning into a what I did over the weekend type of thing...

Anyway friday was find of my chill night at home. My mom ordered pizza and we made salad and just stayd in and relaxed. I also turned it into a hair night and I did one of my old hairstyles I used to wear when my hair was shorter. It was kind of cute. After taming the fro I did my toes and nails and then read a little more of How to be Blessed and Highly Favored (which is a really good read).

Saturday I had a meeting and then I had to go to an installation service for my uncle since he was becoming pastor of his church. That was pretty decent I hadn't seen a lot of my family on that side in close to a year (which is sad since they live less then an hour away). But the service was decent and we had a good time. After that I headed out to Bowie to handle some business and then came home and got ready for my friends party at Dave and Busters. J, my cousin and myself went and things were going well until about 10 minutes into the party my heel broke on my shoe. Was I pissed! Not only because I had only wore the shoes four times, but they were one of my favorite pair of shoes and the last one in my size in that color in the boutique I went to and the $95 price tag made me pissed too. So I had to drive from Bethesda back to my house to get another pair of shoes and then back to the party.

Did I mention that my ex from way back was at the party. I saw him when I came in but it never occured to me that we were going to be at the same party and sitting at the same table. Him and I had no beef we just kind of parted so I was trying to figure out why he seemed sooo uncomfortable around me. After like and hour and a half I finally spoke to him (since we were sitting diagonal from each other at the same table) and he was like oh hi. My bestfriend was like damn its a shame she had to be the man and speak first and he spit some lame excuse about how he was going to speak but he thought I was engaged in deep convo.. umm sure whatever. What made it worst was the strained fake conversations he held with his friend at a level that was just loud enough for me and my girls to hear I guess to make me jealous (which I wasn't). If you are there with a friend there is no need to be like yeah at my job at such and such where I am the manager... if that's your friend she knows you are manager and then the yeah my wife this and my wife that and then in the next breath say how these chicks thought I was hot so they gave me free drinks and VIP passes. Guess what I don't give two shyts. Also don't be a fake baller and then order water and french fries lol. I mean $2.99 woohoo. So that was that.

Today was an interesting day. I went to early church and we got there late so we had to sit basically on the pulpit. So I was like great the one Sunday I have on a skirt and some boots I'm like on the stage. But it's okay I'll be there earlier next week... after service I came home and took a nice nap. I was supposed to go to lunch with and acquaintance but shyt happens thats why you always have a plan B so I went to brunch instead with another friend and had a great afternoon. Later this evening there was an appreciation dinner for my uncle and aunt who just moved to Florida so I went over there with my sister and niece and nephews and pigged out on my other aunts fabulous food and fraternized with the kinfolks. It was a good weekend.

This week should be interesting as well. Tons of meetings, a singles conference at church (oooh la la lol), more meetings, some shopping, maybe a party or two friday (have to decide between three), and a baby shower saturday... I swear it's nonstop

Off to watch some TV and read

bonne nuit mes amis
