a new week
Today was a pretty average day. I worked, had to go to the doctor and worked some more. I also talked to my sister and my little baby (2yr old nephew) has pneumonia he sounded soo sad. awww.
This evening I went on a "dinner date" with a guy I met a few weeks ago. We went to one of my favorite restaurants, That's Amore. Halfway into conversation he helped me realized that what my linesisters and friends say is true, I am a magnet for members of a particular organization lol. I don't even remember how we got on the subject but when he said I love my frat and I said and which frat is that, I just knew he wasn't going to say what he did lol. It's all good though because he was a sweetheart and is very aesthetically pleasing lol. The madness has to stop though lol.
After that I came home and talked on IM with my buddies trying to get them to help me put together an outfit for this 80's themed new years eve party I'm attending. All suggestions are welcome lol.
I'm also trying to plan my best friends birthday party. It's down to a house party at my house (music, full use of my parents bar, like 50 people) or us going away to her parents ski condo and doing the same thing just with a smaller more select crowd and the addition of skiing (which only I can do lol) and other snow sports. I need to be on point since her bday is in like a month and some change while mine is in six and she already has planned a cruise to nowhere (an all inclusive trip where you basically cruise out to sea for two nights and you party gamble and all the stuff like a reg cruise just with no destination) for us and whoever else I want to come (if you love to have fun you are invited lol seriously). So save yalls dollars (like 275 lol) you got 5 months.
Anyway I am looking forward to this week. I have two more gifts to purchase and then I have to get ready to cook dinner. Christmas Eve my mentor and her husband are having their annual dessert and caroling party. Which I love because they have this huge old house in Upper Northwest DC and it's great to see house full of upwardly mobile black people conversing and singing and having fun and all the kids running around in pajama's. Christmas morning my sister does breakfast for the family so we can watch the kids open their gifts. Then we are having lunch at my mom's bestfriend's house and my fabulous dinner here. It's going to be a great week!
