back to the real world

Been working like crazy. Not only on my 9-5 but my super secret side gig as well. Yesterday I thought I was going to finally have a chance to come home and sleep after work. But no I got an email saying I had choir rehearsal so there went my going home and hitting the hay. Before rehearsal since I had a little free time I stopped at the Blvd at the Capitol Center because I wanted to try out the new tea cafe.

For yall that don't know, coffee and Christen don't mix I am an avid tea drinker so I was thrilled to hear this place was opening and even more excited that it came to fruition. The place is really lovely and quite quaint. It's a bit larger then your average mainstream coffee house and is really nice. They have a very large tea menu (actually had a better selection then what was at the r.itz carl.ton Saturday) and they have real food and goodies too. I was talking to the owner and she said the weekend they have jazz and poetry night but what really sold me was that they have wifi. So me and my laptop can go in there on a Saturday morning and get some work done in a nice atmosphere and I don't always have to ride to Adams Morgan to T*ryst now. Next time when I do a more casual tea with my niece I'll definitely take her there.

So anyway left there went to rehearsal and I swear we were there for almost three hours. Three hours of singing yall but this one song we are singing is AMAZING it.s making me go back and pull all the skills that my voice teacher taught me. But the song is just beautiful, very dramatic and theatrical.

So anyway after singing three hours I came home and participated in my new addiction. No not talking to my new "buddy" on the phone but playing this...

the S.ega Son.ic plug n play 2... you just plug it into the back of your tv and you can play sonic 2, alex the kid, ecco the dolphin, columns and two other games. This thing has taken me back to elementary school lol and I stay trying to remember codes and stuff that I used to put in. All I need is for nintendo to make one with like tetris, super mario brothers and duck hunt and I may just be couped up in the house for a while lol. My mom was mad because she was like she could have spent 19.99 instead of all that money on a game cube lol oh well....

So the rest of my night consisted of sonic, showering, sonic, ironing, more sonic and then sleep. Quite addictive I tell you.

*ETA* I can't staaaand Chevonne for telling me that one with Mario does exist AND for telling me on pay day lol. I just ordered it online and am sooo excited lol

Well I should be doing some work so thats all for now...
