ho hum thursday
today was a pretty average day nothing too exciting. I went out to Pentagon City (which I never go to) to have lunch and to get some Kiehls facial cleanser from Nordstrom. I got a sample the last time I went to the counter in Annapolis when I bought my face scrub and my skin has been amazing the past week and I've gotten some wonderful compliments :) Anyway nordstrom was torn up due to remodeling so I walked the mall. That mall does nothing for me lol so I left. after sitting in ridiculous traffic on 2 and 395 I went home. I took a backway home down H St in NE/NW and let me tell you I always see some interesting stuff when I am amongst my brothers and sisters... a guy riding a bike holding a tv on the front, a girl walk up to another girl and straight smack the mess out of her, and a guy smoking the biggest joint at the bus stop (that I could smell in my car a lane overfrom it). so anyway I come home and chill a bit grab a snack check all 300 emails I had and then got ready for bible study. Bible study was great the worship service was almost better (if not better) then on Sundays and the lesson was concise and to the point (Luke 5:1-12). When I came back I chilled talked on the phone with this guy that is "interested" in me (had to write a blog about this convo lol) on how it's impossible that I have never cheated.
Anyway while talking to him I started reading this website I enjoy called the worlds healthiest foods. When I want to feel motivated I look there to see what I should be eating to lead a better life. Anyway I was reading on avocados (someone should really take me out on a date when I spend my evening learning that avocados contain oleic acid, a monounsaturated fat that may help to lower cholesterol and are a good source of potassium, which is great sice I am not a banana fan lol) So I remembered I bought two avocados at the market 2 weeks ago so I made my own homemade "guacamole" (avocado, fresh cracked pepper, sea salt, garlic and lemon juice) with no recipe just freestyling lol. Let me tell you if the PR thing doesn't work out I could be a great chef lol. So me and my gourmet avocado dip (thats how I will market it lol) sat down with a bag of tostitos with a hint of lime and watched my favorite movie (and chick flick) Love Jones (talking about it on my other blog made me want to see it).
I fall in love with that movie everytime I see it.... it just shows the imperfections of love but how it can work. Now I'm about to watch another great movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and call it a night.
