The worlds longest....
interview. That is what I had today. I think I was probably in there a good 3.5 hours and I am DRAINED. I'm glad this wasn't one of those situations where I tried to do an interview on a lunch break, because I'd be fired lol. It's an interesting company though and the position requires A LOT (in a good way) and the commute would be crucial in the evenings. I'm going have to pray on this one.
When I got back home from the interview I had a message from BFTP (see Saturdays entry) talking about when am I coming to visit and all this other BS about after seeing each other lets see where it goes. So I need to call him and let him know that I really can't back pedal when it comes to him. This exact time last year we were trying to develop and foster a long distance relationship between two people that hardly had time for themselves. We are also two very different people leading different lives in different states and that's a chapter that needs to be closed on any level but a friend/soror/bruh relationship. Plus on friday both of us had partaken in the consumption of so many libations that we forgot for about 3 hours all the bullshyt and drama that we had gone through with each other lol. So that's a no go.
I so need to pack too. I'm going to North Carolina tomorrow and will be there until like Sunday. I also have to work on the holiday shopping while down there. The Christmas list has been cut severely this year to the mom, niece and nephews and a few little items for my sister and a few friends.
People keep asking what I want...diamonds, shoes and anything from Tiffany always work lol. But seriously I don't even care, the holiday isn't what it was to me as a child as far as racking up gifts my focus now is on the true meaning... buuut if someone wants to give me a gift so be it lol... I do accept them especially those related to getting away for a weekend lol. I may treat myself to a class or two in Sur La Table's culinary program (beginning sushi & cooking mardi gras sound good) and maybe a weekend at The Westfields for Christmas.
I'm also VERY happy I don't have to go to Wyoming next week. That was going to be interesting lol, especially since my cousin just moved from out of there, it would have just been me and the bison chilling. I do get to go to Delaware next week though which may be awkward now that I ran into BFTP and I'll be in his territory and on his yard. I also get to go to NYC. I am so excited! Get to see my LS's and my neo's and prophytes and the charter line and well basically my whole chapter lol. It will be good to see them. I miss them a whole lot. Even though we are meeting up for a memorial service we are also going to do our usual reunion stuff afterward which means talk, argue, gossip, fight, make up and pour libations. Lawd I miss the libations... nothing like the PL Delta Punch lol.
